Real change doesn’t happen by trying harder. It happens as we surrender every part of our lives to God and allow Him to transform us from the inside out. The Christian life is about what God does to you, not by you. He isn’t asking for some of you, but all of you. As we offer ourselves fully to Him and renew our minds through His truth, He shapes us into people who reflect His heart and walk in His will.

Romans 11 reminds us that God is faithful to His promises. Though many Israelites rejected Jesus, God has not rejected His people. Instead, He is using the salvation of the Gentiles to provoke Israel to faith. Paul compares God’s people to an olive tree, warning Gentile believers against pride and emphasizing that salvation is entirely by God’s grace.

Romans 10 lays it out with sharp clarity: God isn’t moved by self-made righteousness, but by faith in Christ alone. Today, we explore who God rejects and who He receives, then trace how rescue actually happens—through ordinary people sent with an extraordinary message. Faith is born in hearing, and hearing comes through someone willing to speak.

Romans 9 is about God’s sovereign choice—His people are defined by promise, not background or effort. It raises the question of whether that feels fair, and it also makes clear that God is free in how He shows mercy while people are still responsible for their response. The chapter holds both truths together without trying to simplify them.

Romans 8 is a chapter of assurance. Because of Christ, there is no condemnation—God is our Father. There is no defeat—God is working all things for our good. There is no separation—God is sovereign, and nothing can separate us from His love.

Romans 7 shows that while the Law reveals sin and guides our behavior, it cannot transform the heart. The Gospel does what the Law cannot—it regenerates us from the inside out. God desires more than rule-following; He desires a transformed life that bears fruit through His Spirit.

Paul corrects two errors about grace. Grace is not permission to live however we want; those united with Christ have died to sin and are called to a new life. And while believers still struggle with sin, that struggle does not mean sin is still their master. Grace frees us from sin’s rule and empowers us to live for Christ.
