My Story

I came to know Christ through the youth group I attended throughout middle school and high school. I had a faithful youth pastor who walked with me through my life. He presented a Christ-like steadfastness throughout my struggles, sufferings, failures, and victories that made me feel loved and seen.

Even though I was a persistent attender and was even known as the "church kid," outside of church, I was living a reckless life. Through that, I experienced shame, guilt, spiritual death, and didn't know Christ fully. When I went to college, I was brought to the end of myself, but Christ met me in that. Through the work of his Holy Spirit, he changed my life around. I once was blind, now I see; I felt dead, now I feel alive; and I felt hopeless, and he gave me a hope that cannot be shaken. Because he changed my life, I have now given my life to service to him. I discovered a gift for working with younger people, so I have used that by volunteering with youth groups, working at camps, and discipling the next generation. Now I'm excited to pay it forward and help students encounter Jesus!
