What Makes A Great Church?

As we celebrate five years of Onward, we’re reminded that a great church isn’t simply one that gets better at doing church. A great church is growing in its love for Jesus and its love like Jesus. It’s possible for our activity to increase while our affection decreases. So as we look toward the next five years, the call is simple: don’t let our activity replace our affection. Jesus reminds us that love is at the heart of what makes a great church. It’s time to repent, return, and pursue the kind of love that produces the life of Jesus in us and through us.
