In today’s podcast, we learn about being sensitive to the Spirit. Just like Philip, who helped the Ethiopian eunuch understand God’s Word and baptized him, we’re reminded that when we listen to the Spirit, our everyday lives can become powerful opportunities to lead others to God.
Discussion Questions:
In Acts 8:24, we witness Philip’s sensitivity to the Spirit. What does it mean to be sensitive to the Spirit to you? Can you recall the last time you were moved towards someone?
Philip took the time to help the Eunuch understand the passage from Isaiah 53 (as referenced in Acts 8:31). When was the last time you personally helped someone learn how to read their Bible? Are you personally making an effort to find Jesus in the passages you read?
If “time communicates value”, what aspect of your life conveys your most cherished values?
Baptism is a concrete way for believers to demonstrate their obedience to Jesus’ command to profess faith in Him publicly (Matthew 28: 19-20). Have you been baptized? Are there any areas of your life where you’ve found it challenging to apply God’s Word?
