Meet Matt
I grew up in a Christ-following home in Arlington, TX. I accepted Jesus as my Savior at an early age as a result of participating in Awanas at my childhood church. I was in college when I felt God calling me to serve him in vocational ministry and I'm excited to be able to answer the call at Watermark. God has given me a passion for working with kids and I'm excited about using that passion as the Director of Children's Ministry at the Frisco campus.
God used my time at Texas Tech University and summers at Kanakuk Kamps to strengthen His hold on my heart and direction in life. That path led me to attend the Kanakuk Institute after graduating from Tech with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Upon completing the Institute, I was on staff with K-Life and then Pine Cove Christian Camps.
My affection for the Lord is stirred by being outside, enjoying His creation. Any day on a golf course or in the mountains is a good day.
God has blessed my wife, Catilin, and I with twin boys, Campbell and Knox, and a sweet little girl, Lucy.
