My Story

My name is Hunter Ramsey and I was born and raised a Texan. I grew up in Houston, Texas and after graduating high school, I attended Baylor University where I met my bride, Amanda. We married in 2004, a year after graduating from college and moved to Frisco, Texas.

I became a believer at a young age and accepted Christ when I was 11 years old. However, I was not living for Him and believe I would have been the man described in 1 Corinthians 3:15, as one barely escaping through the flames. Before I truly began following and having a deep and intimate relationship with Christ, I lived to please man, and was at best a passive servant of Christ.

After 2 years of marriage and practicing destructive communication habits, we started attending Watermark, where we found the joys and fruits of living in authentic community. It was around this time that I realized I needed Him to lead me before I could lead others. I began seeing the meaning of John 10:10. I saw God’s Word come to life by allowing Him to take control of my heart and living out Galatians 2:20. This was the beginning of radical transformation in my life and in our marriage.

Amanda and I have been blessed with two children – our son, Hudson, and our daughter, Emmy. While they keep us busy and on our toes, they are a true joy and blessing from The Lord, and we thank Him for these blessings every day.

I enjoy working in the risk management and insurance business, where I help provide protection to corporations and business owners. I love family vacations, playing sports with my kids, playing golf, and watching Baylor football and basketball.
