Meet Erin
My Story
I am originally from St. Michael, Minnesota and did not grow up in a home that went to church. The first time I stepped foot in a church was in 8th grade. I remember the moment that worship started, I broke down in tears. Looking back, I understand that I felt a peace and a love that I had never experienced before. Although I heard the Gospel at that time, it wasn't until I was 18 that I fully gave my life to the Lord. After coming to know Jesus, though, I was still tempted to live by a very works-based mindset. When Ephesians 2:8-9 finally clicked in my head and heart, I stopped living to EARN the love of Christ, and I started to live IN His love. I decided to move to Texas on a whim in February of 2021 where the Lord supplied me with great friends, an amazing job, and I even met my husband, Ben, in April 2023 while playing volleyball, and we got married in April of 2025.

I love to play volleyball, pickleball, and hang by the pool when its 110 degrees!

My favorite part about being a member at Onward is all of the kids I get to be surrounded by! I love serving with the babies and watching them grow.

I love spending time with the Lord in a comfy spot. Preferably wrapped in a blanket in front of a fire or on the porch. Always with iced coffee!
I like to start my quiet time by reading through a few verses or a chapter of scripture and then read a commentary after I have had time to process by myself.
