Meet Myles
My name is Myles Olenski and I am from the great state of Connecticut (no, not Canada) and lived there for the first 18 years of my life! Then the Lord called me to the Promised Land that is Texas and I started college at the greatest university in the world, Baylor University (Sic’em Bears). You might be thinking, “Connecticut to Texas? That’s a pretty big change” you’re right! It is crazy, but the story of how I got to Baylor is even crazier – I’d love to share it with you sometime, it involves March Madness, BBQ, and $24,000. I know, I’m telling you – CRAZY. My time at Baylor was incredible and it became the fertile soil where the Lord really began to capture my heart for Him. My freshman year at Baylor is where I believe I understood Grace for the first time (Eph 2:8-9). I had heard the Gospel a thousand times, but never knew my need for the Gospel until that year. That is where everything began to change in my life, my prayer life, my devotionals, my involvement with Church, etc.
Shortly after that, I began to feel a call to vocational ministry in my life and the next four years became sharpening tools for that calling, specifically through volunteering at Vertical, a bible study on campus, interning at Church in the Youth, and through my studies as a Biblical Studies Major. After I graduated in 2018, I moved to Dallas and participated in the Watermark Institute where for 9 months I was discipled and taught my Bible on a deeper level. I then moved to Branson, MO to work for Kanakuk Kamps as a Campus Shepherd at Kanakuk’s Link Year Program where I continued to grow in my calling of equipping and discipling the next generation of leaders to be dangerous and effective for the Kingdom. I am thrilled and humbled to be back in Texas shepherding the flock that is in Frisco (1 Peter 5:2-3)!!
