DTown is our in-town winter retreat for students in middle school and high school hosted by Watermark Dallas. The worship services and activities at DTown are designed for students to make memories, build friendships, and consider Jesus. The weekend will interrupt busy, stressed-out routines, and give students a chance to sit back and evaluate their relationships with God and with others. This is a weekend you’ll never forget!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What safety precautions will be implemented to create a safe environment for each DTown participant? Small Groups will spend the two nights in the home of one of the students in their Small Group. Host home families are known, and background checked. Each student will be expected to abide by rules and expectations that create a safe environment for all DTown participants. Safety expectations include, no all-nighters, no pranks, limited cell phone usage, and students with cars will be expected to turn in their keys to Small Group leaders for the weekend.

When does registration close? Registration closes at midnight on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 11:59 PM. But you won’t you have to worry about that because you’ll already be registered early, of course!

Will Onward students be together? Yes! Onward students will remain together with their Onward leaders throughout the entire weekend.

Is there a cell phone policy? Students in grades 6-8 will give cell phones to Small Group leaders for the weekend. If parents need to communicate with students throughout the weekend, they can contact their Small Group leaders. For high school students, leaders will monitor cell phone usage and access during DTown at their discretion. The goal is to allow for an undistracted time for students. If you need regular communication with your student during DTown, please let your Small Group leaders know.

Will there be a price adjustment if a student can only make it to part of the planned schedule of events for DTown? We get requests for partial payment every year and our policy has always been to keep one “ticket price” and allow kids to come and go. With hundreds of participants, it is extremely difficult to accommodate price adjustments for every unique scenario. Students who wish to participate in any part of DTown are required to register as if you were participating in the entire weekend. We understand there are unavoidable conflicts and students are allowed to come and go as long as they communicate and coordinate their schedule with the adult leader(s) in charge of their Small Group.

What if our family can’t afford the registration price? If finances are an issue, we will work with families to pay over time. We also encourage them to share the need with their Small Group, Community Group, or extended family.

What if I still have questions? Jessica Hewitt coordinates all events for Onward Students. If you have a question, she’ll be happy to help! Reach out to her at students@onwardcc.org.
